recycling

We have one of those three way bins. General waste, recycling and compost. Tonight I found a "three in one" in the compost section of the bin. That's chips, fried rice and curry sauce, and asked "if that was suitable for composting?" Yes, apparently as long as it doesn't have meat in it. Because that would attract Rats. Well we have two cats! and this put me in mind of the story, "There was an old woman who swallowed a fly" by Rose Bonne. The story starts off fine, she swallowed and fly then a spider, then a bird, a cat and a dog. In my youth I watched enough Tom & Jerry to know this story was heading in the right direction so far. But after the Dog, Rose starts to show she's No Attenborough. Because she swallows a GOAT to eat the dog! Even the most simple minded of us can see the cracks beginning to appear in the story. But what does eat a dog? Plently of animals would be able to, but they just don't. The only reasonable next line to the story is, "She swallowed a chinese man to eat dog. But I don't think it would have been as popular...
